Staying Grateful Through the Difficult Times

Today I have found many reasons to crack, be stressed out and feel like a heavy weight is on me. I can say that so far, I am allowing it to get the best of me. I have cried, “vented”, and fed into the negative emotions and pretty much wasted my entire morning. But now, now I am choosing to take an active approach to making my day better.

Today, as I struggle a little more, I will ask a little more of myself.

10 Reasons I am Grateful Today

  1. I have a great support network of people that are willing to listen. Although venting is not a great solution to any problem, my friends are there to see me through and knowing that I have them available to me is amazing.
  2. I am incredibly grateful for how healthy this pregnancy has been so far.
  3. I will have the opportunity to spend the afternoon working in some gardens, planting flowers and playing in the dirt.
  4. I could get out of the bed this morning and stand on my own two feet.
  5. I am grateful that I have the frame of mind to recognize when I am incredibly stressed or down and I have the motivation to change that for myself.
  6. I get to live in an incredibly peaceful setting which is perfect for me and is my version of a perfect place to raise a child.
  7. I have a wonderfully supportive soon-to-be-husband that cares about me and believes I can succeed in anything I try to do.
  8. I am able to forgive myself when I screw up.
  9. I have friends and family that are excited to surround this new little baby with love and happiness.
  10. My heartburn has almost all but gone away! (at least for today)
